JANUARY 24, 2013-County Council met for a finance meeting tonight...

The primary focus was a pay raise for the proposed Deputy Warden of Security and Safety position.

The person hired for this position would work under James Veshecco until he retires.

They would then fill Veshecco's spot.

Council discussed raising the salary of this position from 51 thousand dollars to 75 thousand dollars.

Council members say more research needs to be done before a vote can be made.

County council meets Tuesday at 7 pm and will further discuss the position and salary increase as a first reading.

I'm not sure that the people could afford such an extreme jump in pay scale for someone right now, WHERE is the extra money coming from, and WHY didn't they pay James Veshecco more???

County Council is way to CHEAP to hire a dept warden. They will wait til veshecco retires then 90 to 120 days later hire a warden....
