US Congressman Glenn Thompson, R-5th District, made his way to the Beechwood Golf Course Restaurant in Fairview this morning to discuss politics and the state of the Republican Party.

The event cost $20 at the door.

Thompson says the Pennsylvania Republican Party is very well represented in the Capitol, and that in the near future he hopes Americans will see how the Republican Party is the right party for everyone.

"The principles that our work is guided by that is our vision, our direction, is really good for America. It's good for every community, every family, every citizen. Can we do a better job with our messaging? Absolutely," Thompson said.

Thompson stresses that the GOP can gain popularity if it utilizes grassroots movements to the maximum.
