Alms House Cemetery Rt 24

It's a place where more than a thousand people are buried, Many were poor, had no family, and are now just a number.

            Many were from the nearby pleasant ridge manor,

            others were indigent, and left to the county because there was no money for a funeral.

            When people die and there's no one to claim the body, the remains are left to the county.

            These were people with no family, no friends, no one to care to for them in their final days.

How sad...I am glad that someone made that Cemetery for them to be at...maybe, now, they know, someone does cares...
