    usckas Funeral Homes established in 1946 by C.J. (Gus) Dusckas created a rich legacy for daughter Nancy, who now operates two locations in Erie and continues the tradition as a licensed funeral director.  At Dusckas Funeral Home, we recognize that making funeral arrangements is not a comfortable task. That's why we are always pleased to take that extra step to personally answer all of your questions.   • History of Dusckas 
    ince the first day that Mr. Dusckas opened his doors to the Erie community, the Dusckas name has been synonymous with trust and dedication. The Dusckas Funeral Home now serves over 500 families annually and has an extensive Pre-Arrangement and follow-up program. The Dusckas Funeral Home continues to strengthen its commitments with many families who believe in the total service the staff provides. As one family member commented recently, "The Dusckas Funeral Home and its staff treat their profession more like a ministry rather than a business."

  • About Pre-Planning 
    re-planning is a program approved by the State Board of Funeral Directors that allows families to document what their funeral wishes are for themselves or their family members.  This also allows assets to be protected into an Irrevocable Program.  Once the program is established the interest in the burial trust account will cover all future inflationary costs.  There are several types of programs available. 

    One of the programs we most commonly use is the Loyal Christian Benefit Association (LCBA).  This association is based in Erie and serves many states, besides Pennsylvania, for their pre-funding needs.  A second program is a bank trust established through PNC.  Both programs are specifically designed to support funeral planning.
