Reported by: Sky Yaple Tuesday, Oct 14, 2008 @12:58pm EDT Congressman Phil English unveiled a health care plan aimed at small businesses this morning.
It would allow small businesses and self employed people to band together to negotiate their health insurance, giving them the bargaining power of much larger companies. "Healthcare costs continue to skyrocket, which is forcing many small businesses to choose between the livelihood of the business, and the quality of benefits they provide for their workers," says English. The bill also includes tax credits for employers who pay most of their employees' premiums. English is sponsoring it with democrat Ron Kind of Wisconsin. |
