John Treanor joined the Action News 24 and FOX 66 news team in July 2009 as a General Assignment Reporter.

Before joining JET-TV and FOX 66, John studied journalism and history at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. At Edinboro, John spent three years working with E-TV, the campus television station, before interning at 13WHAM-TV news in Rochester, NY. Following graduation, John spent several years reporting and anchoring at the CBS affiliate in Erie.

Born and raised in Rochester and with family from Buffalo, John is ALREADY used to Erie winters, but still prefers heading to Presque Isle on nice days. John has been lucky enough to have some memorable interviews in his short time as a reporter, including President Barack Obama and former NBC Meet the Press host Tim Russert. An avid Buffalo Bills fan, John looks forward to getting to a couple games this season in nearby Buffalo, and taking advantage of all Erie has to offer.
