Friday, Oct 30, 2009 @07:38pm EDT Five like minded groups joined hands and are sharing resources under the Erie Bayfront Cultural Collaborative. After just two months of talks, leaders with the Erie Maritime Museum, Flagship Niagara League, Blasco Library, Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies and the Erie County Historical Society see good things for a future hurt by tight budgets.
"Now, it's like we don't have the money we used to, the need to share resources becomes much more important," said Melanie Kuebel-Stankey of the Erie County Historical Society. "We're all here for the same purpose. So, what one lacks the other one picks up. So far so good," said Bill Sutton of the Flagship Niagara League. The collaboration is two months old.
