Reported by: Sky Chernauskas Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009 @04:43pm EST For the second time, the GOP has lost a potential candidate for congress next year.
Erie attorney John Onorato had indicated his intention to enter the race for the 3rd District congressional seat. However, Onorato has informed the Republican Party that he's changed his mind and will not be running. Earlier in the year, Erie school teacher Brian Lasher dropped out of the race. Onorato says new job duties with the manufacturer and business association are the main reason for not entering the race. GOP leaders say there are at least several other candidates in the race from Erie, Crawford, and Butler counties. |
