Before the arrest, the suspect is accused of causing a crash just after 9pm Friday night on Interstate 79 just south of West 26th Street. The crash involved as many as three vehicles.
Police say the suspect then drove east on 26th and north on Brown Avenue where Erie officers joined the pursuit. After stopping the car, the man fled on foot but was quickly captured by Erie police who had to use a taser on the suspect.

The man was handed over to Millcreek police.
Investigators are trying to confirm his identity.
They tell WJET-TV he could face retail theft or receiving stolen property charges after an incident at Sears at the Millcreek Mall.
There could also be charges connected tot he police chase.
