Reported by: Bob Neely Tuesday, Nov 17, 2009 @01:59pm EST The Erie County Department of Health announces that the response to the Swine Flu clinics in Erie County has been far below expectations so clinics will now be open to the public without triaging for high risk groups.
Certain clinics will also be configured to vaccinate children from 6 months to 3 years. Not every clinic will have the capability of doing these children. Parents with children of that age are encouraged to call the Health Department or visit the website at www.ecdh.org.
All clinics run by the Erie Center on Health and Aging, and are now open to all from the age of 4 and up. They remain free of charge. Questions can be referred to the Erie County Department of Health at 814-451-6700, or the St. Vincent Hospital Flu Hotline at 814-866-4800.
