Reported by: Sky Chernauskas Saturday, Nov 28, 2009 @04:54pm EST State Police have been searching for thieves who targeted a Crawford County hunting preserve that caters to disabled veterans.
Someone stole small heaters from hunting blinds at the WCJ Ranch, which is located just east of Meadville. The history of the ranch dates back 17 years and this is the first time that any thefts have been reported. Police say that the thefts are especially ill timed, coming just a few days before Pennsylvania’s rifle season for deer opens, which is Monday. Some good news though - various groups have stepped up and donated money to the ranch so the heaters could be replaced. The investigation into the thefts continues. |
