We met Austin last November in our very first Hearts without Homes. He had just been adopted and was settling into his new family.

He is now 14 and has a lot more hair. He has gone from playing Guitar Hero in his living room to throwing out the first pitch at an Erie SeaWolves game.

"No I couldn't imagine this. We were just thinking about what it'd be like to have him in our home and start building a family together, and we've had fun doing that, but these kinds of things, family vacations, it's just been a really fun summer," Austin's Dad said.

However, many children aren't as lucky as Austin. If you think adoption would be a good fit for your family click on our Hearts without Homes link.
