October 16, 2012--A close call for a motorcyclist who tells us he's happy he was wearing his helmet after a late morning crash.

It happened at East 35th and Zimmerman on Erie's upper east side.

Not a lot of damage to either the motorcycle or the truck involved as police directed traffic to investigate.

The man on the bike was Joseph Menneske who says he noticed the truck in front of him but when he went to hit the front brakes his thinks his caliper must have seized and he hit the ground.

Menneske was wearing his helmet.

No major injuries were reported.
