A married couple are both without jobs and facing criminal charges after an extensive investigation at the Erie County.

Captain Leslie Danowski and her husband, Sergeant Daniel Danowski are both are facing several charges stemming from fraudulent time keeping and other offenses.

They are facing charges including theft by unlawful taking and manipulation and tampering with public records at the Erie County Prison where they formerly worked.

The Erie County Executive's office received an initial complaint regarding time card abuse and the unauthorized use of prison ammunition against Sergeant Dan Danowski back on July 26th.

Since then, both he and his wife were placed on unpaid suspension and have since been terminated.

Erie County Executive Barry Grossman said ammunition was sold by Dan Danowski to two employees and Leslie was found to be manipulating time keeping records on behalf of her husband.

In addition to the termination of both Danowskis, Deputy Warden of Security and Safety Jim Senyo was demoted to a Correctional Officer II and was given no pay for five days for apparently receiving comp time and money for time that can't be verified. Apparently this was under the knowledge of Sergeant Danowski.

Grossman says an outside panel will be appointed to find a new Deputy Warden.
