OCTOBER 26, 2012-Governor Tom Ridge honored environmental leaders in our community tonight.

Ridge presented two John C. Oliver Environmental Leadership Awards to Sister Pat Lupo and Dr. Ed Masteller.

Sister Pat Lupo works daily with Erie's youth on projects involving the environment.

Dr. Ed Masteller has been updating a website with organisms to help others make good environmental decisions.

The late Eugene Comoss was also honored at the event for restoring the beaches of Presque Isle.

His wife accepted the award on his behalf.
