Updated: October 29, 2012

OCTOBER 28, 2012- The heavy rain didn't stop hundreds from running the trails of Presque Isle today for a good cause.     More than 200 participants pounded the pavement for the 3rd annual Boo Run on Beach 9.

Runners and walkers wore their spookiest Halloween get-ups for the 5-k.

Following the race, everyone competed in a costume contest.

Money raised will go to SafeNet a non-profit that helps those affected by domestic abuse.

Organizers say the race has grown by 20 percent each year.
