Important Steps for Pet Owner's During Hurricane Sandy

Keep in mind it's also important to keep your four legged friends safe during the storm.

 

Humane society officials urge pet owners to take the following safety measures.

   

Make sure pets are in doors and away from the storm. Also, make sure your pets are wearing identification.

   

Always pack food and water for your pets in an emergency kit and if your pet is afraid of the storm, keep them preoccupied to pass time.

   

If these tips don't work for your pet, officials recommend talking to a veterinarian about possible medications.
