Avalon Robbery

An armed robber targeted a downtown hotel early this morning.
Shortly before two o'clock this morning, Erie police were called to the Avalon hotel at 16 west 10th street for an apparent robbery.
According to Erie police, a black male jumped over the counter with a knife and too an unknown amount of money from a cash register.
At this time, police are still investigating.
