NOVEMBER 4, 2012- An Erie native is getting recognition for his amazing facial hair.

Twenty-eight-year-old Adam Causgrove was crowned the Mustached American of the Year from the American Mustache Institute.

Causgrove competed against more than 2,000 other mustached men from across the country in the online competition.

He received 66 percent of the public's vote.

He even beat out Nick Offerman from NBC's Parks and Rec and Jeff Fisher of the St Louis Rams.

It took Causgrove six months to perfect his impressive upper lip hair.

Our very own Sean Lafferty placed fourth in last year's competition for his killer stache.

Causgrove was also awarded a lifetime supply of mustache wax to shape and mold his stache.
