December 10, 2012 - Erie firefighters were called to a popular downtown business Monday night around 7:30pm.
Smoke started coming inside The Plymouth Tavern from the lower section.
Witnesses said it smelled like it was electrical in nature and according to Erie Firefighters, a small amount of smoke came from a conduit from the street outside.
A woman who answered the phone at The Plymouth said they would close early to let Penelec shut off power to check the problem.
They closed at midnight.
Firefighters were on scene for about 20 minutes.
