With the growing number of states legalizing marijuana...one Philadelphia Senator asks the question, is it time to legalize marijuana here in Pennsylvania?

Both State Senator Sean Wiley and State Representative Ryan Bizzarro tell us this is a controversial issue across the country...and we need to take into consideration every detail of the proposed bill.

Philadelphia Senator Daylin Leach is introducing a legislation that would make marijuana legal in the state of Pennsylvania...

    On his website, he explains

"For the past 75 years our marijuana policy has been foolish...ill conceived, costly and destructive..and it must end."

    He continues on saying

"According to the National Drug Control Policy, in 2006 an average year, 24,685 marijuana arrests were made in Pennsylvania at a cost to the taxpayers of $325,360,000

Bizzarro tells us although he does support the use of medical marijuana, the possibility of legalizing marijuana in all forms still is extremely controversial.

Comments

Yes its time... medical and recreational. Tax it not my pay.

There are a LO of people who could use the medical marijuana to control extreme pain, this isn't the kind of "Hippie" age that you have to giggle about, this is REAL pain relief, and not about getting high~it would get a lot of people off major prescription, pain relievers that cost us thousands of dollars!
