Jan 30, 2013 - With the debate over gun control and its connection with mental illness in the national spotlight, an event tonight at the Erie Art Museum took on extra urgency.

Tonight, the film "We Need to Talk about Kevin" which deals with mental illness was shown.

Afterward, a discussion was held with the local chapter of the National Association of Mental Illness where they discussed mental illness and how it impacts violence.

The Erie Art Museum hosts independent films with discussions after the films every Wednesday.
