Despite today's drab weather conditions - making it hard for anyone to believe spring will be here sooner - Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow today, predicting that spring will be here soon.

Legend has it that if the groundhog sees its shadow, we get six more weeks of winter.

More than 30,000 people headed to Punxsutawney, PA to find out the news.

People from our area have mixed views on Phil's prediction:

Geoff Kinder: "It seems a little cold and he's calling for spring, is that right? I don't know if I really believe it."

Matt Riazzi: "I don't think we could take six more weeks of this."

Claudia Peterson: "Winter is winter, and it will be over whenever it's over."

Catherine O'Brien: "Of course the groundhog is always correct, come on."
