A legal battle that's been brewing for years is finally coming to a head at the Erie County Courthouse.

The struggle is  between a group of summer residents at the Lake Erie Community Park and Girard Township.

The park was deeded to the township in 1941 to be used for recreational use.
But now, the township now wants to develop the park and has asked some park tenants to move off the land.

The attorney representing the township, said the case is all about the deeds.
While the attorney representing Lake Erie Community Park, believes otherwise.

Attorney Eric Purchase says it's about more than a few documents. It's about the people who have called that their summer home, and they shouldn't be forced to move.

Testimony continues tomorrow.
