A trip to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. is sure to be an eye opening experience for some McDowell high school students.

Nearly 40 teens boarded a bus around 5:30 this morning.

Our own Chelsea Pompeani and photographer Sam Namey are riding along with the students to document the trip to the Holocaust Museum.

This year, a total of seven buses in Erie and northwestern Pennsylvania are headed to DC, thanks to the Jewish Community Council of Erie's Holocaust Education Bus Fund at The Erie Community Foundation.

Jewish Community Council of Erie in partnership with The Erie Community Foundation is continuing to raise funds to provide trips to The National Holocaust Museum because of the historical and educational value to young adults in our community. If you'd like to donate to this educational bus fund, please visit the link below.
