An Erie man waives his preliminary hearing this morning in court.

Thirty-year-old Carlos Diane Cruz waived his preliminary hearing this morning on charges in a fire at the Erie County Prison back in January.

Cruz was facing charges including arson, recklessly endangering and criminal mischief after starting a fire in his prison cell.

In December Cruz was sentenced up to 30 years in state prison. He was found guilty of robbery and gun charges in January after robbing Alfees Pizza and firing shots.

Typical trashcan Erie justice. This idiot Cruz got 30 years for robbing a pizza joint? And that Mitchell fool from Corry robbed 2 banks and was offered a plea deal for 6 months? And you think there is justice in Erie? They should be putting our judicial authorities in prison for making these asinine decisions. Let's see what happens to that twerp Shuler who robbed 2 banks. Thanks to our DA and judges for making Erie a safer place to be imprisoned.
