Man Falls From Tree in Girard

A man has fallen from a tree in the Imperial Point Mobile Home Village in Girard.

State Police responded to a report of a man who had climbed approximately 50 feet into the tree around 8:00 am. Officers called for the Girard Fire Department to respond with a ladder truck to rescue the man.

Before the rescue could be accomplished the man fell from the tree, and was taken to UPMC Hamot.
His injuries were reported to be severe.

The man is a resident of Imperial Point, but does not live on the street where he climbed the tree.

i seen the whole thing. he was flippin out and right when the fire department arrived, i mean pulling to a stop, he just let go. it was horrible. i hope he makes it. life is hard, but its worth living. he just needs a little help evidently.
