The Academy Awards are on ABC Sunday night, and part of the fun is watching the fashion.

Frugal Fashionista Valerie Weaver showed us some gowns at Sassy Peacock on Pittsburgh Avenue in Erie. Valerie tells us Oscar gowns this year are expected to take a turn for the emerald colors. We're also expecting to see some jeweled and beaded dresses this year. A mix of straight and fuller gowns are likely to make the red carpet on Sunday.

With the dresses, there is always jewelry.

We know one line that will be seen on Sunday's red carpet. The best part is, the jewelry starts at just $24 dollars and is available right here in Erie. It's called Park Lane Jewelry for E! Live from the Red Carpet. E! Entertainment has partnered with Park Lane and celebrities on American Idol and Dancing with the Stars are already wearing the jewelry, as well as some Hollywoodstars like Reese Witherspoon and Oprah.

Valerie thinks we're going to see longer chandelier earings sans the necklace, or a small earing with a larger jeweled necklace. Bangles are hot for the red carpet this awards season, so expect ABC's cameras to pick up some celebrities wearing these trends.

The exclusive jewelry line the stars will likely be wearing to the Academy Awards is available through Park Lane representatives. Valerie Weaver is a Field Executive in our area, so she can bring the red carpet trends to you.

Taking red carpet style to your own closet after the Oscars is a fun and the prices are affordable, so we had fun looking ahead to ABC's Academy Awards fashion.
