A well known Erie politician is running for office again after a two year term as a congresswoman.

Several sources have confirmed former congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper will challenge current county executive Barry Grossman in the May primary.

Democrat Kathy Dahlkemper is reportedly circulating petitions for Erie County Executive.

She is out of the country at this time and has not returned our calls.
However, experts say if it's true, her name recognition and popularity in the community could be beneficial on the May 21st primary.

Erie County Democratic Party Chairman, Bill Cole, says he thinks Dahlkemper is also running for governor.

Although Cole says Dahlkemper is running for both positions, a source close to Dahlkemper tells Jet 24 that she is only running for county executive, not for governor.

Election officials at the courthouse couldn't confirm the news because petitions don't have to be returned until March 13th.

Barry Grossman, AND Kathy Dahlkemper , BOTH have done a LOT for PA. and it's communities, Now, if Kathy would run for Governor and Barry would remain the current county executive...Just "THINK" what they both could do together for PA.!! What a pair they COULD be!!!
