Attention student artists!

There's an art competition coming up that's capturing the attention of parents and students.

Jessica Starr has more in this week's PI 365:

The 2nd Annual Mixed Media Student Art Competition is focusing on "Historical Presque Isle."

Students will create art based on this criteria.

HarborCreekHigh School is getting a head start.

Joe Pfadt is on the Presque Isle Advisory Board.

He's excited to see what the kids are already working on and is looking forward to building on the last year's success.

There are 84 categories to enter your art into this year and the gold medal winner in each category will be up for the Chairman's Award.

Hayden Seibert won the Chairman's Award last year and says it was a huge moment for him as a student artist.

Students kindergarten through college are signing up and hoping to win the prestigious award from Presque Isle.

There's still time to enroll for the 2nd Annual Media Student Art Competition.

Registration is due by March 29th.

Judging will be April 26th.

To register artwork, please contact Brian Gula by emailing bgula@pa.gov or by calling 814-217-9632.
