Students in Erie's Central Career and Technical School's landscape and horticulture program were showing off their green thumbs today.

An open house was held today to showcase their new, state of the art greenhouse that was built last summer.
The students are growing vegetables, herbs, shamrocks and geraniums that will be sold to faculty members, farmers markets and even local businesses.

For the students, this is a chance to get up close and personal with nature.
The students hope to start a Farmer's Market and sell their produce this fall.

All the money raised will be put back into the landscape and horticulture program.
