A west side convenience store in the city of Erie was the target of an armed robbery early this morning.

The Circle K at 603 West 26th Street was robbed at gunpoint just after midnight.
According to police, two black men with their faces covered, wearing dark clothing, robbed the store and got away with a small amount of cash.

Police say they have questioned several individuals, but no arrests have been made yet.
The clerk was pistol-whipped with a handgun and had to be taken to the hospital.

Police are also investigating to see if there is a connection between this Circle K robbery and the Kwik Fill robbery that happened just hours before.

Why is it every singel day we see or hear of something like this happening? We NEED stricter laws in place to prevent people from doing these things, and MORE law enforcement!
