October 12, 2012-- According to Erie County 911, SWAT crews were called to Knollwood Drive in Fairview around 7:30 am Friday.

A woman called saying her husband barricaded himself in the home and was threatening to harm himself.

We're told he was armed with what investigators believe to be a gun and that he was in the house alone, but Police at the scene did not confirm that.

Officials tell us, at one point, flash grenades were used to try to get the man out of the house.

Neighbors were not evacuated, but we're urged to stay in their homes

Around 6 pm Friday, the man reportedly gave himself up and the standoff ended peacefully.

State police say no charges will be filed.
