While the Girard Yellowjackets play their last game of the season, and the last game for the seniors at the school, they'll be playing with out their coach on the sidelines.

Coach Jim Funk was ejected from Friday night's game and was banned from the sidelines for tonigh't final game of the season.
The incident stemmed from last Friday night's game against Fort Leboeuf.

It was a must win game for the Yellowjackets if they were to go to the playoffs. With just seconds left in the game, Girard players thought they stopped a touchdown against Leboeuf and one of the refs signaled no touchdown. But several seconds later a line judge ruled a touchdown meaning Girard lost the game and their playoff hopes dashed.

But for coach funk, it was the beginning of the end. While on the sidelines, someone, not Funk, according to the referee, shouted profanity and Funk was ejected from the game.

Because of the ejection, Funk is not allowed at tonight's game or even on school grounds. He does admit he is in charge of the sidelines, but said he is not the one who used profanity and had no control over the person who did.
