Hi Micheline, I am a Communications Specialist of the Red Cross in the Western Pennsylvania Region. As the donations continue to support the Red Cross relief efforts in the areas most affected by Sandy, it is important to understand that 91 percent of every donated dollar goes toward providing assitance to those in need.

The only problem I have with the Red Cross is...their Executives make millions of dollars on ALL donations, while the workers & the people needing the help only get a SMALL part of those donations...I'd rather give to the local's that DO help and either get NO pay or a nominal one, giving the bulk of any donation TO the people needing it the most!!
