The Barber National Institute is giving Disney a run for their money when it comes to animation and creativity.

The Artist in Residence program, which is funded through Arts Erie and First Niagara Bank, brings artists in the community together with students at the Barber National Institute to develop art skills and help them express themselves in a creative way.

This year's artist was Jude Shingle who infused art with technology to help students create art, animation and i-books using technology including i-pads.

This is the 7th year for the program.

This year's title was A Festival of Digital Wonder.

The program spanned 20 days in October.
