Vernon Twp Man in Jail on Arson Charge

November 9,2012- A Vernon Township man is in the Crawford County jail on arson charges after a fire in his apartment.

Vernon Township Police  Chief Randy Detzel charged Ryan K. Pasquito with Arson and Risking a Catastrophe among other charges in the wake of a fire Thursday at Timbercrest Apartments on Berkshire Drive in Vernon Township, Crawford county.

Police arrested Pasquito walking along route 19 carrying a small child. Officers say he carefully set the child down and attempted to walk away.

He was taken into custody and arraigned before Crawford County Judge Michael Rossi.

Police say the fire was set in Pasquito's apartment, and that he called Crawford County 911 claiming that he started the blaze.
