As of today...more students in the school district will be allowed to ride the bus to and from school if they have an Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority bus pass.

School district officials are now allowing over 700 students from kindergarten through 8th grade to obtain bus passes if they live one mile or more from their school... Taking more kids to and from school.

In the past, passes were only given to elementary school students who lived more than one and a half mile from their school... Or middle school students, who were over two miles from school.

This will go into effect right after the New Year.
