In response to County Executive Grossman's term limits plan...

Erie County Council wants to dig deeper into the County's Home Rule Charter...

Erie County Councilman Joe Giles tells us tonight that there's been unanimous support on council to create a Home Rule Commission.

Giles says at this point that Charter itself has not yet been reviewed...and they're going to check into the Home Rule Charter to find out if term limits are necessary.

For right now... Giles says they don't plan on sending a rejection letter to the CountyExecutive.

The ONLY ones trying to reject Mr. Grossman's plan would be those who DON'T want to give new people a chance to give "New" ideas , by stepping down...I mean, really...the dinosaur's are all gone, don't you think it's time for some bright, new, ways to do things already? Term limit's are a GREAT way to let that happen, and then no one is stuck with someone who is NOT working out in Council...if they HAVE done good, then they could be re-elected, otherwise...it would be time to leave...I think we should do this to ALL Government Officials, including Supreme Court, Judges, etc. give the some people a chance to show how they can help America!! Thank You Mr. Grossman, we sure have needed this for a very long time coming!
