DECEMBER 4, 2012- A piece of American history will now have a permanent home right here in Erie County.

Erie County Council has approved the location of the September 11th Memorial.

Council members voted unanimously to have the memorial built on the Blasco Library's property.

The beam from the World Trade Center will be displayed in that spot.

No word on how much the structure will cost as it is in early planning.

A date for completion hasn't been set either.
