Every branch of government is seeing a cutback in funds. That's trickling down to our local projects.

Statewide funding from the governor's office has been put on hold, affecting the Perry Square updates.

The Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program was a grant of 1.1 million dollars to help the city finish the updates to the park.

Those updates include the stage, the fountain and interactive jets around the fountain.

The entrance pillars on the four corners are still under construction and will be finished in the spring.
