The CEO of Erie Water Works, Paul Vojtek, says the water main break has been repaired, and that customers affected should have their water running normally by Saturday.
Vojtek, who has been tirelessly working with his crews to make sure the break has been resolved, says the pressure of the water broke a pipe, causing damage to a storm drain.
The City of Erie was working tonight to repair the street at the site of the damage on Pine Avenue.
Vojtek says there are a few new, minor water main breaks, but those would only affect a few families in different areas.
He says 51st Street might be affected, as well as Lake Pleasant Road, between 38th street and Grandview.
