And now new information about yesterday's early morning East 8th Street fire.

A 14-year-old girl was in the apartment by herself when the fire took place early Sunday morning.

However, despite initial reports at the scene, the girl does not live there by herself. Her mother was staying with another daughter for a few days while she recovered from an injury.

Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire, but they do know it started in the kitchen.
