A Villa graduate, turned para-olympian equestrian, is getting back to her roots today.

Rebecca Hart represents the United States Equestrian Federation.

This morning, she was a guest motivational speaker at VillaMariaAcademy.

The school is celebrating Pride Month, which stands for People Respecting Individual Differences Everywhere.

Hart was born with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, which causes muscle paralysis and spasms on the lower half of her body.

This didn't stop her from becoming her para-equestrian team captain at the London Games.

Hart hasn't forgotten where she started. She says this is her hometown and where her dreams started. She hopes to motivate Villa students to accomplish their dreams, no matter how impossible they seem.

Villa students will participate in Pride Month activities for the next few weeks, and are donating to several charities.
