Millcreek School Board Rejects Charter School

Township School Board Members voted unanimously Monday evening to reject the
Solicitor Timothy Sennett says the school did not meet the required 27 criteria necessary.
A list of deficiencies was provided.
The school did not have a proper physical facility.
Charter
school creators wanted it to use the old Steris Corporation Facility at
But Solicitor Timothy Sennett says it was not properly zoned.
In addition, sidewalks were not present.
And the board agreed this charter school was not unique or different than what was already available in the district.
We reached out to Bio Sciences Academy Charter officials.
They did not return our phone calls.
They left the meeting immediately following the rejection.
The charter officials can bring the charter back with an adjusted plan.
As we heard from Solicitor Sennett, the charter was deficient in several areas.
