More than 100 people lined up outside of Villa Chapel this morning, in hopes of taking home a piece of historic furniture.

About 50 pews were given away on a first come, first serve basis.
People began lining up at 2 am to make sure they got pews. It was limited to two pews per person.

The pews were being given away, but a donation to the Sisters of Saint Joseph Ministry Fund was requested.

A lot of people were hoping to take home a pew for sentimental reasons, but some people were upset and didn't believe the process was fair, and that there may have been an antique dealer there.

The spokesperson says that no one got more than two per person, and that they believe the people loading a truck were transporting the pew's of several people who did donate.

A representative of the Sisters of Saint Joseph says they are humbled by the response of people who wanted pews.

So NOT fair...an antique dealer can have family or friends stand in and look like they don't know each other, but buy up the entire lot!!! That is disgusting!!
