March 16, 2013 - With temperatures below freezing, and a wind chill making it feel even colder, one might think the annual St. Patrick's Day parade would have been under attended. However, thousands attended the annual parade, which was the complete opposite of last year's glorious, sunshiny parade experience.

The parade featured about 80 organizations, including members from the JET 24/FOX 66 news team.

People of course were decked out in their best Irish outfits, despite the cold temperatures.

"We've come when it's been 80 degrees and when it's been 20," said JoMarie Boesch. Boesch wore a lot of green garments, and of course, her warm scarf and warm hat.

Prominent Erie political figures also were in the parade, like Erie mayor Joe Sinnott, Erie County executive Barry Grossman, and PA state representative Ryan Bizzarro, just to name a few.

The celebrations will continue well into the evening at bars all throughout downtown Erie. Remember to be safe, and call a cab if you drink too much.
