There were handmade gifts from around the world today at Mercyhurst University.
Dozens of refugees were part of today's Global Gifts Fair, where they were demonstrating and selling crafts from their native countries.
The event is a chance to engage the refugees and give them a sense of purpose in the community.
Several refugees from the Erie area came out to the fair; that was an idea presented by Sister Browne as part of her social work project.
The money raised from the sales stays with the refugees.
