Health Board Chairman Quits
The man who led the charge toward a county-wide smoking ban has resigned as chairman of the Erie County Health Department
Dr. Tony Ruffa sent his resignation to county executive Mark DiVecchio via email over the weekend.
Ruffa wrote in his email that after spending five years on the board he wanted to concentrate on his family.
Neither DiVecchio, nor Ruffa could be reached for comment.
