Stay Safe, Stay Warm During This Cold Snap

Penelec officials had extra crews on hand Sunday, after a massive blackout left thousands of customers in the dark Saturday. They are urging people to keep plenty of warm blankets, and flashlights in case there are more outages. More than 47-hunded people were left without power after a breaker malfunction erupted at the Erie South Sub Station. A switch later failed when crews tried to restore power to the Millfair Road Station. Officials warn that if you are on the road and the traffic lights are out you`re urged to use caution as you drive throughout the region. The number to report power outages is 1-888-544-4877.
